Flying Ideas is a place to share your idea or project. Here is what we keep, in plain words. Last change: October 10, 2026.
What we keep
- Your name, photo and email from Google, when you sign in with Google.
- What you add: your handle, bio, project link, posts, comments, likes and who you follow.
- Reports you send about posts or comments.
- The ideas you save. Only you can see them.
- Your yes, if you tick the box to let us feature your idea in our videos.
- A count of how many times each post's link was opened. Just a number, nothing about who.
- A count of where visits come from (for example a TikTok link) and the first page they open. One number per day, nothing about who.
What other people see
Your name, photo, handle, bio, project link, posts, comments and follows are public. Anyone can read them, also without an account. Your email is never shown.
What we do with it
We use it to run the site: show your posts, count likes and comments, and keep the place safe. New posts and comments may be checked by an automatic safety filter (OpenAI's moderation tool). We do not sell your data. We do not show ads.
Who helps us
- Google, for sign in.
- Supabase, which stores the data.
- Vercel, which runs the site and counts visits without cookies.
- OpenAI, which can check new text for harmful content.
Our videos
If you tick the box when you post, we may show your idea in our videos on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The box is never ticked for you. Write to us any time and we will stop.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in, and a small one for ten minutes after you open a project link, so the same tap is not counted twice. To count a visit only once, your browser also keeps a small note until you close the tab. No ad or tracking cookies.
Links to other sites
Posts link to other people's sites. When you open one, that site sees your visit. Their own privacy rules apply there.
Your choices
You can change your profile at any time, and delete your posts and comments. To delete your account and everything in it, use Edit profile, then Delete my account. You can also ask us what we keep about you: write to hello@flyingideas.social.
